As an ASE-certified master technician, I’ve spent countless hours diagnosing electrical issues. Whether your 12V power outlet stopped working to charge your phone, or your trailer lights are acting up, the first and easiest thing to check is always a fuse.

Here is your comprehensive fuse box diagram and amperage guide for the 2015 Nissan Titan.

Note: Fuse box layouts can vary slightly depending on your exact trim level (S, SV, PRO-4X, SL) and optional equipment. Always verify fuse locations using the printed legend on the inside of your fuse box lid.

Quick Answer: 2015 Nissan Titan Fuse Box Locations

The 2015 Nissan Titan has two primary fuse box locations you need to know about:

    1. Passenger Compartment Fuse Box: Located inside the cabin, on the lower right side of the dashboard, behind the lower glove box cover / kick panel area.
    2. Under-Hood Fuse Box (IPDM E/R): Located in the engine compartment on the passenger side, near the battery. Nissan calls this the Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room (IPDM E/R). It contains both fuses and relays.

    How to Test a Fuse

Before throwing parts at an electrical problem, always verify the fuse is actually blown. Here is how I test them in the shop:

    1. Visual Inspection: Pull the fuse out using a fuse puller or needle-nose pliers. Hold it up to a light source. Look at the U-shaped or S-shaped wire inside the plastic housing. If the metal element is broken or melted, the fuse is blown.
    2. Use a Test Light: Ground your 12V test light to a good, bare metal chassis ground. Turn the ignition ON (engine off). Probe the tiny exposed metal tabs on the top of the fuse while it's still plugged in. If the test light illuminates on one side but not the other, the fuse is blown. If it lights up on both sides, the fuse is good.
    3. Use a Multimeter: Set your multimeter to continuity (the setting that beeps) or Ohms. Touch one probe to each side of the fuse. A beep (or a reading close to 0 ohms) means the fuse is good. O.L. or infinite resistance means it’s blown.

Never replace a blown fuse with one of a higher amperage rating. This can melt your wiring harness and cause an electrical fire!

Common Blown Fuses on the 2015 Nissan Titan

Working on Nissan Titans, I tend to see a few specific fuses pop more often than others:

    • Cigar Lighter / 12V Outlets (Fuses #6 & #7): By far the most common. Cheap aftermarket phone chargers or loose coins falling into the 12V socket will instantly short the circuit and pop this 15A fuse. If your phone won't charge, check here first.
    • Trailer Tow Fuses (Fuse #43 and related relays): Trucks are meant for towing, but unfortunately, trailer wiring is notoriously bad. A shorted wire on a rented U-Haul or an old boat trailer will frequently pop the Nissan's trailer battery charge fuse or trailer lighting fuses.
    • A/C Clutch (Fuse #39): If your A/C suddenly starts blowing warm air, check the 10A A/C clutch fuse in the IPDM before assuming the compressor is dead.

If you keep blowing the same fuse repeatedly, you have a short to ground in that specific circuit. Don't keep wasting fuses—it's time for a proper electrical diagnosis.

Before you pull a fuse on the 2015 Nissan Titan

    • Use the label printed on the panel cover or the owner's manual for your exact build. Layouts change with options, model year and build date, so a chart for another truck can be wrong.
    • Replace a blown fuse only with the same amp rating. A larger fuse can let wiring overheat.
    • A fuse that blows again right away means a short or failing component downstream. Find the cause before replacing it again.
    • A good fuse doesn't prove the circuit works — relays, grounds and connectors fail too.
    • Disconnect the battery before working near high-current fuses or cables.
